The mental health consequences for veterans can range from post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, traumatic brain injury, insomnia to suicide. The Center for Deployment Psychology of the Uniform Services University has a virtual education center offering evidence-based psychotherapy workshops to DoD and civilian mental health providers. The workshops leverage the inherent motivation to play games, utilizing Second Life to create an experiential learning environment.
