  1. Symptoms & Treatment of Acute Liver Failure Acute Liver Failure, also known as Fulminant Hepatic Failure, is a medical condition wherein the liver collapses drastically. The rapid deterioration in liver’s ability to perform, majorly within 2-3 days, causes liver failure. With loss of over 75% of liver cells, liver starts losing its ability to perform vital functions, which causes its collapse without any prior history of hepatic illnesses. Fulminant Hepatic Failure calls out for a dire need of liver transplant, without which, a patient might lose his life. Liver diseases are highly progressive, and the symptoms of hepatic disorders are noticeable only when a major damage has been caused to liver already.
