  1. What Should Be in Your Knitting Plans For 2024? We are midway in 2024! It is not too late to make some knitting plans. All you need is yarn, knitting needles, and motivation. Summer has inspired us and we’ve got a checklist of all the things to be done. You can consider them for your knitting plans for 2024. If the season does not uplift your crafting spirit, choose hand-dyed yarns. Their unique colorways will surely inspire you. For your knitting plans, make sure to challenge yourself to new patterns, expand your skills, and enjoy crafting. Additionally, choose colorful yarns that are summer favorites to make the most of the season. 1. Learn a new stitch pattern Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced knitter, there’s always something to challenge yourself with. Try a new stitch pattern or knitting technique. Lace knitting is an intricate technique for knitters of all skill levels. As we are into summer, lace is in trend, so you will enjoy creating garments, accessories, or home décor. The aesthetic knitted fabric looks good for wraps, light sweaters, and tops. Make sure to work with fingering-weight yarn and suitable knitting needle sizes.

  2. Similarly, colorwork knitting is a world of fun patterns. You can not only add a vibrant element to your projects, but these new skills will help you grow as a knitter. Think of those elegant Fair Isle patterns, Stranded and Intarsia. 2. Make a set of matching accessories This year, whenever you choose knitting yarns for a project, get them in quantity that can help you make a set of matching accessories. Say, for example, you were thinking of making a hat add in a scarf or mittens or socks. This way, you get to work on different projects with the same shade of yarn, creating a stylish color-coordinated look. Even if you don’t want one in similar colors, you can try and make them in similar patterns- lace, colorwork or textured. 3. Take on an unfinished project from stash If you have just stepped into the knitting world or have been a seasoned pro, you will have a stash of projects that you started but never finished. For knitting plans for 2024, make sure to take on an unfinished project. Use this as an opportunity to clean out your stash. You may discover a forgotten treasure that just needs a little bit of attention to complete. Maybe, when you had started the project you did not have the necessary skills and expertise. If nothing works, rip out and start fresh. Make sure to save the yarn for knitting, as it can be used in another project. Finishing an old project certainly gives you a sense of accomplishment. 4. Join a knitting community This year, give your creativity a boost; join a knitters’ community or group. Interacting with fellow knitters will give you the chance to share ideas, learn new techniques, and get feedback on your projects. You will feel inspired by the community. It’s a great way to make friends who share your passion for knitting and can help you stay motivated and engaged with your craft. Knit-along (KALs) are great events to participate in. 5. Knit for a cause This year, go beyond knitting for yourself, friends, or family. Make use of your knitting skills to make a difference. Socks for charity, hats for cancer patients, or blankets for homeless shelters are just a few examples of knitting for a good cause. Your passion for knitting will go a notch up when you think of the happiness it will bring those in need. 6. Experiment with different yarn weights Try knitting with different yarn weights. DK-weight yarn is a common variety, but go beyond by exploring yarns such as bulky or fingering weight. Experimenting will give you an

  3. opportunity to explore the overall appearance of your finished pieces. You may need to explore bigger or smaller knitting needle sizes. 7. Design your own sweater This year, make plans to design your own sweater. If you are following a pattern, customize the fit, sleeve length, and collar style to suit your preferences. Or, give a pattern a miss and make your own calculations; this project will develop your knitting abilities further and challenge you to expand your skills. So, tick your knitting plans with our checklist. Make sure to plan our knitting projects, yarns, tools, and accessories. Add a touch of charm with hand-dyed yarns from Symfonie Yarns. The range includes extra fine merino wool along with silk and polyamide blends. Viva offers an extensive color palette of over 80 shades in machine-washable merino wool DK weight yarns. Terra is a lightweight yarn of fingering variety, a blend of merino wool with polyamide with over 40 shades of semisolid and variegated hues. Luna, the silk merino blend in DK weight, offers radiant colors that shimmer in the light. Bella, worsted-weight yarn, provides utter softness to knitting projects.
