  1. What Are the Factors Needed to Consider Before Selecting Industrial Lens? The machine vision system is complete with the industrial camera. The primary purpose of this component is to transform the optical signal into a structured electrical signal for the high-definition miniature industrial camera. The lenses of the industrial camera serve as the "eyes" of the machine vision system. Its primary purpose is to concentrate the light beam precisely where it needs to be on the image sensor. An industrial camera can capture all the visual data necessary to treat the optical system. The overall effectiveness of the visual system is closely related to the quality of the lens used in the industrial camera. Factors need to be Consider Whether Or Not a Wavelength and a Zoom Lens Are Involved Whether a prime lens or a zoom lens is required for an industrial camera can be determined relatively easily. First, it's simple to verify whether or not the lens of the industrial camera is correctly focused on the working wavelength. If the magnification factor needs to be adjusted during imaging, a zoom lens should be utilized; otherwise, a prime lens will do. Prioritize the Unique Request

  2. In addition to the practical applications, there may be unique demands. The first step is to verify whether or not special conditions exist, such as the presence of a measurement function, the need for a telecentric lens, a deep depth of field in the image, and so on. Although the depth of field is rarely given much weight, any image processing system must consider it. Distance to Subject and Depth of Field Focusing distance and working distance are frequently discussed together. To estimate the focal length of an industrial camera lens, it is common practice first to verify the system's resolution rate, then understand the amplification rate in conjunction with the CCD pixel size, and finally, understands the potential objective image distance in conjunction with the space structure constraint. Because of this, the Fixed Focal Length Lens of an industrial camera lens depends on the working distance and the camera resolution (and CCD pixel size) of the industrial camera. Dimensions and Quality of Images The lens chosen for an industrial camera should have an image size that is compatible with the industrial camera's photo surface. The photo surface of the camera should be, at most, the picture size given by the Calibration Targets. Otherwise, the image quality of the margin field of view will not be assured, as the principle of "compatible with the small by the big" dictates. MTF and distortion must be prioritized when assessing image quality. Distortion is quite essential in the measurement application. Lens Mount and Opening Size An industrial camera's aperture controls how much light reaches the sensor. Aperture, camera grain, integral time, light source, and so on all have a role in determining the ultimate image brightness in modern machine vision. Therefore, multiple processes are required for regulation to acquire the necessary image brightness. The mounting interface between the lens and the camera is known as the lens mount for an industrial camera. Matching the two is essential. As soon as it becomes clear that the two are not compatible, a switch should be explored.
