  2. Beauty and Supplement categories on amazon are tough to crack Beauty products are something people use on their bodies Supplements are something people consume

  3. Selling supplements on Amazon has not been and easy journey for sellers with ever changing Amazon Policies and product requirements. Our first AIM should be to avoid restrictions & suspensions and this is possible if comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Amazon’s policies regarding dietary supplements.

  4. Amazon defines supplements as vitamins, minerals, herbs, or other substances, such as amino acids or fatty acids eaten to supplement the diet. Amazon must go by what the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) says when it comes to dietary supplements. The FDA regulates the manufacturing, packaging, storing, and labeling of dietary supplements under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. What are supplements?

Amazon provides its sellers and potential sellers with an extensive list of regulations, exemptions, and policies to maintain a certain standard of products, some of which include: Amazon’s Supplement Compliance Checklist: Packaging Labeling Detail page Products and ingredients Resources Resources How to avoid restriction or suspension?

Amazon requires us to verify that dietary supplement products meet amazon’s policy via third-party testing on an annual basis to ensure products offered in our store meet the following criteria: Products are manufactured in a facility compliant with the FDA's Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (cGMPs, 21 CFR 111/117 or equivalent) Products do not contain contaminants that may pose a human health or regulatory concern Products contain the ingredients claimed on the product label Products do not contain undeclared active pharmaceutical ingredients Products are labeled according to guidelines set forth by the FDA and do not contain illegal or disease claims Third-party testing, inspection, and certification verifiers

  17. In order to get your supplements verified by the above mentioned labs, its must to have a GMP for your manufacturing.
