The program is curated under guidance of Medical Council of India and is a required course offered as part of paramedical classes to support the mainstream medical services. The program offers a challenging and fulfilling career option of detecting medical conditions based on imaging technology. He/she also corroborate his findings with CT scans, ultrasounds and MRI while preparing radiographic report. Eligibility Criteria: An aspirant from 12th class (under 10+2 stream) with preferably a science background to pursue the graduate program in radiology. The other criterion is that the participants should be 17 years and above. Selection Process: Interested candidates need to secure the candidature by appearing in our entrance examination, followed by selection by the academic standard committee members. Like the medical lab technician, a radiologist too has distinction of working in two different streams: one and typical of them is diagnostic radiology which primarily focuses on using imaging technology like X-Ray, CT Scanning, MRI and ultrasound and similar other emerging technology to detect and determine the disease of the patient. While the interventional radiology revolves around determining the corrective, guided interventional approach of radiology is used to treat the patients. Very low intensity invasive procedures is chosen to treat the patients. IPHI Advantage At IPHI, the infrastructure supports both the study and applied learning of diagnostic as well as clinical, and curative approach of radiology optimally. In addition to currently available radiology scope the curriculum also covers Nuclear medicine such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) modules. These modules enable the students to diagnose and also to treat the diseases. Career Prospect After successful completion the graduates can get a job as a radiotherapist (in the intervention and curative stream) and as a radiologist in the diagnostic stream.   2. to be inducted in govt. and private hospitals, clinics, and physicians’ offices. After completing the course the graduate can become a Radiologist (MD), Radiology Technologists/ Technicians etc. The other profiles which a radiology graduate can get a job in are, ultrasound Technician or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. They can also get the job as a CAT Scan Technologist/ CT Scan Technologist, MRI Technician and CT Technician. The exciting career The radiologist and other job holders can expect a starting salary of Rs 20000 per month and above. With perseverance, sincerity and commitment to excellence in their chosen field the salary for radiologist can increase by minimum 10% on an average. 2/2
