What are fractions?. Fractions are an equal amount of something. The top part is called the numerator and the bottom part is called the denominator. Fractions are used to show something for example: lets say I have a cake and I split it in half. That means I have 1 out of 2 or 1/2.

  2. Fractions are an equal amount of something. The top part is called the numerator and the bottom part is called the denominator. • Fractions are used to show something for example: lets say I have a cake and I split it in half. That means I have 1 out of 2 or 1/2

  3. Fractions, Decimals, Percentages. • Percentages of fractions are easy , simply because you just divideit by the right amount of numbers. For example : what would 1 out of 2 be? Well before it was 100% so half 100 =50% • The answer is 50%.

  4. Do you think you can do it? • In two different shops they sell the exact same bounty, in shop number 1 it costs £3 but they offer 25% off. In shop number 2 it costs £2. 50 but offer 50% off. • Which is cheaper ?
