COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOOD FOR HUNGER: Hunger is an issue that unfairly targets low- income communities, since living in poverty means going without basic needs including food, clothes, and sufficient shelter. A kid needs to eat nutritious meals every day in order to have a hope at a promising future. A brain devoid of essential nutrients is unable to concentrate, putting hungry children at risk of academic failure. Millions of people, not just children, suffer from hunger and malnutrition as a result of their inability to acquire enough food, eat healthy meals, or farming equipment required to produce enough excellent food on their own. 12. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 Human society is at the crossroads. Social goals focused on areas varying from poverty reduction to climate change and gender equality, remain elusive. Aahwahan Foundation supports social development by listening to marginalized communities and nurturing their voices in the development process; understanding and addressing their requirements, priorities, and aspirations; and establishing formal and informal institutions. We empower communities that strive to eliminate extreme poverty by collaborating with partners to direct innovative models in rural healthcare, nutrition, and financial services for the poor. Communities impacted by a social crisis are in the best position to identify the solutions. Hence, leadership development is a vital constituent of social change work. A Grassroots NGO such as ours is pivotal to creating social change. At the core, we challenge the status quo, influence policy changes, educate communities, and advocate systemic transformations. E.g., women's empowerment would be futile without underlying economic freedom, while community development would be in vain without access to a sustained source of income. Lasting change is feasible only when social transformations are created from the ground up. It is this critical attribute that sets us apart from other NGOs. The wide-ranging partnerships that the Foundation has developed with the public, private and social sectors at the national, state and regional levels would enable us to engage in policy transformations and mobilize resources, funding, and innovation crucial for poverty elimination on a large scale. We are committed to leveraging our convening capability and leadership for catalyzing the creation of a robust platform with a focus on energizing commitment and sustained participation from social and private sector stakeholders in poverty alleviation. The route out of poverty commences when the younger generation could access quality healthcare and outstanding education. Our Foundation focuses on improving people's health and wellbeing, supporting people to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty. We seek to ensure that all individuals – particularly those with the least resources – could access the opportunities they require to succeed in education and life. We believe women have a unique position in society and are pivotal for reshaping societies. Investing in a woman's health and empowerment can shift the trajectory, having a cascading impact, enabling families, communities, and nations to accomplish long-lasting results. When we speak about the deeply rooted, entangled challenges that make issues related to poverty so complex, our audiences listen intently to understand the nuances, through strategic collaboration, we help local communities gain access to education, healthcare, food, and freshwater, housing, and other critical necessities. At Aahwahan Foundation, we are increasingly committed to delivering real, sustainable solutions to marginalized communities' requirements, transitioning from a traditional philanthropy model to one of the genuine partnerships in which we use the talents and resources acquired through collaboration to optimize our impact. One of the ways we use the skills is through good governance. The guiding force behind this transformation in thought process is an innovative strategy – 5S (5 Segments). The five segments are Health, Education, Women Empowerment, Environment, and Community Development. Our diverse internal team with an educational background from prominent institutions AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  13. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 such as IIM, IIT, and XLRI after several brainstorming sessions came up with this unique strategy. We strongly believe that poverty elimination and 5S are deeply interconnected. Significant investments in 5S would pave the way for the eradication of deep-rooted poverty. We are convinced only through our partnership with international donors, governments, development experts, and individuals that our mission of achieving our vision of a world that is equal for all becomes a reality. Health Healthcare Environment in India India is drawing global attention due to its profound political, economic, and social transformations, which have significantly improved its people's standard of living. Unfortunately, this socioeconomic change is mostly an urban phenomenon. The rural population continues to suffer from economic deprivation, and emerging health profile in rural areas is a cause for concern for stakeholders associated with healthcare in India. Nearly 75% of healthcare infrastructure, medical personnel, and other resources exist in urban locations where only 27% of the population lives. The rural community is impacted by contagious, infectious, and waterborne diseases like typhoid, infectious, diarrhea, measles, tuberculosis, whooping cough, amoebiasis, hepatitis, worm infestations, malaria, respiratory infections, pneumonia, and reproductive tract infections. Again, non- communicable diseases like blindness, cancer, mental disorder, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, hypertension, accidents, and injuries are also increasing. We are always aspiring for a better quality of life. Still, the unforgiving reality in rural India is that most adults working in agricultural fields face chronic starvation. A significant number of children have stunted growth due to undernutrition, and one out of ten babies do not make it past the first year of their life. Many children in rural areas leave school year-on-year because of an illness in the family, and they have to work to add to the family's income. This cost of hospitalization places the affected families below the poverty line. IMPACT: PROGRAMS OVER 1,00,000 INDIVIDUALS BENFITED THROUGH OUR Healthcare: Health on Wheels- Mobile Medical Clinic for Marginal Communities.  Aahwahan Health Centre- A Small Clinic for Rural India  Doctor at School  “Health on Wheels” - Mobile Medical Clinic It is our latest service for rural healthcare. Hospitals in rural India are overburdened, understaffed, and ill-equipped. The doctor-patient ratio in India is less than the WHO prescribed limit of 1:1000. Our mobile medical van can provide cost-effective treatment to people in rural areas. The mobile van comprises a driver, a nurse, and a doctor visiting one village per day and providing Outpatient Physical Therapy to patients in inaccessible rural areas. The schedule would be shared in advance with the villagers for better coordination. Through AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  14. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 this innovative program, Aahwahan Foundation aims to bridge the gap between the acute shortage of medical care and service delivery in rural areas. At present, the mobile medical van is used to fight against COVID-19. We visit various slums in urban settings and rural areas to conduct testing for diabetes & other illness; we refer any cases to the public health authorities. 15. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 Education Continued access to quality education can ignite far-reaching changes and provide a voice to marginalized communities globally. Aahwahan Foundation has experienced the transformational capabilities of widely shared learning at the grassroots level and witnessing the adverse impact of them not being fulfilled. For us, the initial impetus to focus on education came from the success story of several individuals from underprivileged backgrounds who benefited from a high-quality education. We firmly believe that India’s economic miracle has been on the foundation of its high-quality education. Over the years, we have witnessed a direct correlation between education and crime levels. When students stay in school longer, it had boosted education and decreased crime. Statistical evidence confirms that crime rates peak at age 18, and keeping teenagers in school during this critical phase can ensure that they do not progress in the wrong track. There have been several inspiring stories demonstrating the impact of education on the lives of people every day, none more than the story of Sharath Babu. He is an inspiring entrepreneur who dreamt big and qualified himself while living in a slum. Sharath was born in a slum in Chennai. His mother did several jobs, including preparing idlis, which Sharath used to sell on the streets before going to school. He graduated from BITS Pilani on a Tamil Nadu government scholarship and worked for three years in Polaris Software. Realizing his natural flair for management, he was determined to pursue a degree in management from a prominent institute. After completing his MBA from IIM-A, instead of taking a high paying job, he started his own catering business, “Foodking.” His vision was to employ illiterate and semi-illiterate people. The World Bank recognized his achievements by inviting him to “The Global Youth Conference 2012. It is genuinely a rag to riches story of an individual who was able to scale up and transform the lives of people around him through the power of education. 16. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 Academic research has demonstrated the probable high return to Schooling and the role that human resources play in economic progress. However, the disconnect between education’s promise and reality becomes evident against the background of the low quality of education. That’s when we realized that Schooling is not the same as learning. Skill development is vital. A student’s progress in learning must be measured, and often the problem is hidden. Schooling that does not translate into learning is a great injustice. The children whom society is failing the most are the ones who need educational support the most. Our activities at the ground are across several states, including Odisha, Karnataka, Assam, Bihar, and we aim to expand our operations pan India shortly. We focused on prioritizing learning and mobilizing every accessible resource to work toward it. We have identified three main dimensions of the learning crisis. IMPACT: OVER 169 SCHOOLS ADOPTED AND 43,000 STUDENTS BENFITED THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS Education Infrastructure: “ADOPTING A PUBLIC SCHOOL TO ESTABLISH AND SCALE UP ITS BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE” School buildings, classrooms, drinking water, and sanitation facilities are critical elements of schools' learning environments. There is enough evidence that high-quality infrastructure promotes better student results and decreases dropout rates. Facilities can be considered inadequate in several ways, including being over-crowded and lacking sufficient sanitary facilities. The health repercussion of inadequate/unhygienic toilets and sanitation are severe. Girls drop out of school if the facilities are not enough. Older primary-age girls will not attend school after they begin menstruation if sanitary facilities are inadequate or non-existent. There is a misconception within society that schools in urban settings have excellent infrastructure. However, the reality could not be further from the truth. We have witnessed the dilapidated condition of schools in an urban environment (Both Public and private). AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  17. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 International schools and some prestigious private schools do have excellent infrastructure. How many parents in this country can afford to send their children to these high schools? The government and international organizations claim that the right to education is the fundamental right of every child. On paper, the policies are sound. The reality is entirely different. It appears that education is the privilege of the elite. India's dream of becoming a progressive nation would not be feasible if a vast majority of children do not have access to quality education. Without the necessary infrastructure, the school system in any part of the world, let alone in India, can't deliver high-quality education. Just imagine your child studying in a school without the necessary infrastructure. Nothing can be more traumatic for a parent. Now, if the condition of infrastructure is bad in urban settings, it is worse in rural India. With regards to the tribal areas, it is virtually non-existent. The Preamble to the Constitution of India envisages, "That no section of the society enjoys special privileges and individuals are provided with adequate opportunities without any discrimination: all are equal before the law." Its time we translate this vision into reality. People living in rural and tribal areas are the forgotten citizens of this country. We request Corporate India to visit some of the schools in an urban, rural, or tribal setting. The dilapidated infrastructure would melt your heart. Aahwahan Foundation is committed to creating a level playing field in education across urban, rural, and tribal backgrounds. Talent is universal; the opportunity is not. By providing the right environment for learning, we want to support children from the marginalized sections to break the bastion of the privileged and progressively scale new heights in their career, thereby becoming positive contributors to society's development. 18. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 Computer Institute on Wheels The IT domain is expanding fast. Job descriptions and roles are also continuously evolving. Integrating technology into operations is shaping the complete corporate landscape. There is an increasing demand for tech-savvy talent. In the coming years, the talent landscape would be skewed towards technology skills. According to industry sources, the supply of technology talent is not keeping pace with demand. Insufficient technical opportunities are the main obstacle in overcoming the digital divide in India. Students from a poor background, especially in rural settings, don’t have access to technical learning skills. Against such an environment, it is evident that their employment potential would keep diminishing in the future. There is no social freedom without economic freedom. Rural women in India suffer from multiple social, psychological, cultural, economic, and physical issues. Their financial freedom is only a myth. Before marriage, her family controls her life, and after marriage, her husband and his family control her life. She is just a puppet without having the freedom to decide on her professional and personal life. Several women in a rural environment have the aptitude for technology, but they don’t have access to technology. Often, due to economic compulsions, her family discontinue her studies and get her married. Another talent wasted without the opportunity to realize the individual’s dreams. The objective of our initiative, “Computer Institute on Wheels,” is to give rural students, especially female students, to enhance their technological skills. By doing so, we improve their employability and improve their chances of getting a job, thereby preventing early marriage. Once their families realize they are not an economic burden but a source of income, they change their outlook. For instance, after completing our course, a promising female student got a job with a DTP center in Odisha. Her parents not only thanked us but assured us that they would support her to study further. It is the kind of social transformation we are aspiring for at the ground-level. AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  19. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 The operation of the Computer Institute on Wheels is as follows:  We shall enrol a specific set of students in each village/town  The Computer Institute on Wheels would be present in each area at a predetermined day and time every week  As per schedule, students enrolled in a specific area can access the facility for improving their technical skills  The course duration is three months. We have an agreement with NIIT and students who complete the course successfully would receive a certificate from NIIT  Through this program, we are confident of boosting the technical skill and employment potential of rural youth. Promoting the extraordinary hidden talent of rural children Aahwahan Foundation helps children unlock their true potential. We genuinely feel that every child has exceptional talent, be it in sports, performing arts, painting, language, music, etc. An efficient system has to identify and nurture talent. If a student has not done justice to his/her potential, it means that the system has let the person down. We AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  20. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 aim to create that opportunity to enable children to express themselves and unleash their talent, thereby leading a meaningful life. Through our initiative, "Aahwahan Patrika," we collaborate with the school system to support students in realizing their dreams. Human capital is the real wealth of a nation. Investing in children is crucial for more significant equity and economic growth. No human being should feel that they have underachieved. We strongly believe that a healthy competition within a school would inspire the students to identify their values, strengths, skills, passions, and harness their leadership identity. Holistic development is crucial to enable students to overcome the challenges of life in the future and contribute as honest citizens to society's progress. We shall continue to champion the passion and experience of various educational institutions, operating on the frontline to deliver outstanding education to students from the economically weaker section. We believe this new approach facilitated by Aahwahan Foundation would significantly increase the effectiveness of student-centred learning opportunities. Women’s Empowerment Women in developing economies do not require any patronizing or technocratic support. They need freedom – freedom from suppression, ill-treatment, psychological trauma, economic deprivation. Gender inequality reduces as poverty declines, so women's status improves more than that of men with development. Women's social empowerment and economic empowerment are deeply connected, and women gain the most from prosperity. Supporting women to achieve a more significant economic clout enables them to fight for social change. Imagine a life wherein you are always dependant on someone else economically daily. Such a condition is a living hell. Nobody should go through such a plight; mainly, women who are the nucleus of a family. All the tall talk of women's empowerment is just lip service. Without her economic freedom, her status in society would be abysmal. AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  21. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 Aahwahan Foundation's vision is to ensure women and men equally lead, contribute to, and benefit from inclusive and sustainable economic development. Gender equality and the empowerment of women are at the core of our operations. We are committed to addressing gender inequalities and harnessing women's full potential as leaders and economic agents of change. Improving the role of women as drivers of poverty alleviation, promoting female entrepreneurs, and acknowledging the connection between gender equality and environment protection all promote inclusive and sustainable development. Our NGO is committed to executing programs that challenge the discrimination faced by women and girls, irrespective of their background and identity. We aim to facilitate the transformation of AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  22. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 social standard and power relations; prioritizing improved women's participation in economic progress. Through collaboration with partners across the social system, we increase the access of women to productive resources, establishing enabling conditions for employment, education, and vocational training. Aahwahan Foundation aims to promote various cottage industries – pickle, agarbathi, jam production which would provide women a source of earning their livelihood and the accompanying freedom. IMPACT: OVER 13,000 BENEFICIARIES Community Development Aahwahan Foundation’s community development programs function based on transparency, involvement, responsibility, and improved local capacity. Our experience at the grass-roots has indicated that when provided clear and transparent guidance, access to data, and relevant technical & financial assistance, marginalized communities can effectively determine community priorities. They resolve local problems by collaborating with local governments, NGOs, institutions to build small-scale infrastructure and deliver essential services. We are passionate about constructing a resource for self-empowerment. We aim to promote the sustainable development and self-sufficiency of marginalized communities. Systemic and sustainable transformation is feasible when communities direct their development plan and collaborate with stakeholders to access fundamental rights and services to harness and grow their resources. Often, measuring the impact in accomplishing social justice is through government engagement and the delivery of essential services to communities. 23. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 FOOD FOR HUNGER: Aahwahan Foundation has launched a program called Food for Hunger in response to these realities, through which we serve food to nearly 79,000 individuals across India per day. Our team is not only serving meals to vulnerable members of society, but also to frontline workers who are fighting the pandemic while working relentlessly. COVID RELIEF: We are happy to say that throughout the pandemic, our team has been working tirelessly to help those in need, and we were able to provide and arrange a lot of necessities required for the people in need. IMPACT: MORE THAN 10 LAKH INDIVIDUALS BENEFITED HAPPINESS KIT: Since the pandemic halted the world, it has impacted the education of millions of students around the country, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, making it difficult for them to continue learning. It has become an additional burden on the shoulders of parents to purchase stationeries and other items for their children, and in light of these factors, Aahwahan Foundation has developed the happiness kit programme, in which a kit containing a school bag, sweater, notebook, stationeries, and other items is distributed to underprivileged students. OVER17,000 STUDENTS BENEFITTING LAPTOP BANK: Laptop bank is a type of initiative which helps the underprivileged children to learn about technology and computer skills, which would help them to contribute to the society in some way or the other and by improving their quality of life. Our team, which includes an instructor and an assistant, will travel to slums and schools with a laptop, engaging and training students in computer skills and technology for around 3 hours per day based on the student’s syllabus. Students will be able to learn and master a variety of technical skills, as well as have access to smart research tools. IMPACT: OVER 10,000 STUDENTS BENEFITED FREE DOCTOR CONSULTATION AT HOME: Aahwahan Foundation has launched a one- of-a-kind, brand-new programme to deliver free online medical consultations to people in their own language, from the comfort of their own homes. The effort will be implemented in a variety of settings, including schools, slums and other locations where a large number of people would be affected. People in need will be able to receive consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for free in Bnaglaore and other parts of India as a result of this project, which was created specifically for people from impoverished backgrounds. We recognize that community development actions are a vital aspect of an efficient poverty-reduction and sustainable development plan. Our programs respond to a wide array of urgent requirements, including health & hygiene, rural infrastructure, school and health clinic construction, nutrition programs for women and children, and assistance for micro-enterprises. We AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  24. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 have demonstrated the ability to deliver high-quality programs cost-effectively in ways that have broader community support. The goal of the Community Development program is to create a compelling and viable mechanism to enhance the living conditions and the economic wellbeing of disadvantaged communities. There are two critical project components. The first emphasizes social and infrastructure growth, while the second focuses on income improvement by funding capacity building functions. Some of the community development programs are:  Delivering educational facilities in Villages  Improving agricultural production  Establishing cooperative societies  Enhancing public health  Setting-up cottage industries  Strengthening panchayats We have overcome barriers to implement programs successfully, developed new strategies to resource the infrastructure support required, and generate earned income. We have trained in resource mobilization and other critical institutional strengthening capabilities to improve the capacity of marginalized communities further to further their rights. Environment Over the last five years, Aahwahan Foundation has been working locally and collectively as an engaged community to ensure that the sustainable use of the environment results in holistic development. Environmental protection and poverty elimination are interconnected. Our environment strategy aims for a development path that supports progress while focusing on sustainability and ensuring the environment is a crucial facilitator for a greener and inclusive development. Our vision encompasses an ambitious plan to support greener, clean, resilient directions for marginalized communities, as they pursue poverty elimination and development in an increasingly fragile environment. AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  25. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 At the core, we realize the notable progress in decreasing poverty, but there has been substantially less progress in overseeing environmental sustainability. While growth is required, the environment has reached a crucial state that could undermine livelihoods, productivity, and stability. Our focus on Green indicates a scenario in which the conservation of natural resources improves livelihoods and ensures food security. Healthy ecosystems will increase the economic returns from the activities they support. We believe good corporate policies would enable companies to utilize resources judiciously, creating employment, and contributing to long-term development. Our environmental management programs:  Organic villages  Rainwater harvesting  Energy management  Beach Cleaning  Tree plantation  Lake Restoration Any decline as a consequence of habitat degradation means that the capacity of ecosystems to deliver services such as water provisioning and flood control has reduced. Land degradation has worsened because of inefficient agricultural practices. AAHWAHAN FOUNDATION Building No-40, 3rd Floor, 9th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore-69 www.aahwahan.com

  26. Email: info@aahwahan.com Ph: 08041511188 A low-pollution, low-emission society ensures people lead healthy lives. We keep reminding companies on their low-emission, low-pollution commitments. Hence, we are encouraging low-emission plans and funding for renewable energies, climate-smart cultivation, and low-carbon urban environments. Incorporating resilience into the system would ensure society adapts effectively to climate transformation. It would be the best way to prepare for natural disasters, turbulent weather, and the long-term effects of climate change. Hence, climate resilience must be a part of urban planning and infrastructure development. We are supporting nations to adapt to climate transformation through effective coastal zone management and enhancing disaster risk management through the use of climate risk insurance. IMPACT: OVER 2 MILLION TREES ARE PLANTED, 7 LAKES RESTORED, 13 BEACH CLEANING INITIATIVES, 1 ORGANIC VILLAGE. BY 2021, WE WILL COMPLETE 3 MILLION TREE PLANTATIONS. The fields we work in are listed above, as well as the impact we've had on society through various initiatives. Our team will continue to aid and assist individuals in need, as well as assist them in becoming self-reliant. Our team always appreciates and admires the work done by you and it gives me pleasure to welcome your representatives for our events and I hope you will join us in spreading such a noble cause that saves lives and inspires others. Thank you for your time and we hope to hear a positive response from you.
