Retention: once we get ‘em how do we keep ‘em! • 1 communication • 2 site preparation • 3 event equipment • 4 support staff • 5 fees paid on time • 6 Rotate assignments when possible based upon interests • 7 mentor new officials • 8 don’t “make a track meet a career.” (“j. betts] • 9 pitch in and say “thank you”
