Educational capabilities • Educational capabilities encompass professional knowledge and understanding of the art of teaching and learning to inspire commitment in teachers and achieve quality outcomes for students: • - passion for learning • - challenging, safe and happy learning environments • - high expectations, standards • - management knowledge.

  4. Organisational capabilities • Organisational capabilities support continuous school improvement through effective management of human, financial and physical resources: • - focus on performance outcomes • - use evidence and feedback • - build school capacity • - build partnerships and networks.

  5. Intellectual capabilities • Intellectual capabilities demand clever thinking, sound judgement and wise decision-making: • - enact the vision of public education • - influence the strategic agenda • - future oriented • - engage in ongoing professional development • -- challenge, experience, innovate.

  6. Personal capabilities • Personal capabilities are the inner strengths and qualities that underpin ethical and professional practice: • - courage • - values and beliefs • - emotional maturity • - mutual respect, trust and support • - resilience • - composure in challenging situations. • -professional ethics

  7. Relational capabilities • Relational capabilities are the interpersonal skills required to develop and maintain quality relationships with a diverse range of people: • - value people • - inspire shared leadership • - honest with others, • - resolve conflicts effectively.
