  7. Grading & Recovery • Grading Scale • 45% tests • 30% quizzes • 20% classwork • 5% homework • Recovery Policy • Retakes are given if a student scores a 69% or below on any major assessment; the highest grade given on a retake is a 70%.

Reading • Lucy Calkins Reading Workshop • Two units in fiction reading and two units in informational reading • Coincides with Lucy Calkins Writing Workshop • Reading Logs • Independent Reading • Literature & Nonfiction Standards • Reading Notebooks • Responding to text and using evidence from text to support answers
