Completion of Some 30 AICD Country Reports Provide National Level Messages • AICD Country Reports make bring AICD findings to national policy makers • Peer benchmarking of performance • Efficiency and funding gap analysis • Some 30 reports will be completed, of which 15 had in-country Road Shows Report only Report & Road Show
Completion of Five AICD REC Reports as Inputs to PIDA on Regional Integration • AICD REC Reports package results at the regional level • Stock-taking of extent of network integration • Regional spending needs and financial burdens • Reports discussed with PIDA team and REC delegations
AIKP Transfer Process • Transfer well underway since WPA signature • Weekly team interactions and support missions • AICD portal now integrated into AfDB website • Development of database software underway • Statistical Handbook on its way to becoming official standard for infrastructure data • Expert Group Meeting in Zambia April 2011 endorsed AIKP Statistical Handbook • Presentation to Statistical Commission of Africa planned for January 2012
Follow-Up Work on Climate Change • Emerged from May 2010 ICA Member’s Meeting • Project “Addressing Climate Vulnerability of Africa’s Infrastructure” will cover • Climate change impact on five major river basins • Knock-on effects for power, irrigation and roads • Arrangements are now in place • UNECA to act as African counterpart agency • US$1.7m of funds raised • Concept Note passed internal review • 2 year time horizon
