  3. Started as separate ventures • Understood the added value of combining skills. • Carried on to operate individually but worked together • Completed a number of tasks as a team • This began with designing and creating a HTML email Our companies Spiral Effects Demographic Research Limited

Gained employment with • Identity designs • Research 4 SHU • Promising promotions • Completed work regarding • HTML Email • Website & logo design • Local business research • Comfort in learning environment • Eco homes Project After the event “I hope you remember our meeting during the conference anyway I’d like you to use the images attached to make an email the looks like the spam email you get off places like apple.com”

Two main projects: • Comfort in learning • Eco Homes • Questionnaires • Reports based on the findings of primary research • Key university resources (i.e. mintel) • Hired 7 researchers • Deadlines Research 4 SHU “We feel can trust you fully, … you are two of the best researchers within the Venture Matrix”

We were faced with a tight deadline, therefore contracted other researchers to assist • Abilities • Enthusiasm • Instruction • Unfulfilled contracts Researchers “Thank you for the interest in our business. There are three members of our company we would like to meet up with you to discuss the work”

  7. Commissioned to create a website and set of logos • Communication is essential • Clear project outline required • Regular checks on progress • Prompt payment Working With Others “Sorry I haven’t got back to you I’m still waiting on the answers from the other group”

Always use contracts • Motivation • You only get out what you put in • Working with people • Team working • Networking • Communication • Archiving Chinese Proverb -I hear and I forget I see and I remember I do and I understand What We Learnt “I would like you to know I am extremely satisfied with the end result and I appreciate the level of contact you've maintained with me”

  9. Continuous improvement • Expansion of the Venture Matrix • Look for new opportunities • Increase portfolio of projects • Merge ventures into one • Liaison venture between students and external companies Next Year “Bigger and better!”
