  3. Antiretroviral treatments • Mid 90’s antiretroviral treatments became better and more effective. • Combination therapy introduced. • Less people were dying. • Increased life span and improved health outcomes for many people with HIV.

  4. Different Health issues • Social isolation; • Mental health issues / chronic depression; • Mobility concerns; • Accelerated ageing; • HIV related dementia.

  5. CSN today • Assessment; • Referral; • Matching service delivery to client need; • Care coordination; • Brokerage; • Inter service networking.

  6. Our Volunteers • We train around 48 carers per year – 4 training groups; • Ask for 2 hours per fortnight for 6 months, most stay longer; • From all walks of life; • Still passionate after 26 years; • Still see a need for this work.

  7. Where to Next? • HIV is still with us. • An ageing population- accelerated ageing. • GLBT Population ageing.
