Movie summary • Bolt thinks that he has super powers but he gets separated from the “magic” of technology. • Penny, a little girl, and her dog, Bolt, are the heroes of a TV show. • He is sent accidently to New York where he meets Mittens, a cat, and Rhino, a fat hamster, in a plastic ball. • They cross U.S. to rescue Penny from Doctor Calico, a mean person in the TV show. • During the trip Mittens makes Bolt realized that his super power does not exist. • Finally he arrives in Hollywood, he rescues Penny from a fire in the studio. • After the accident Penny quits the actress job and goes with Bolt to live in the country side. • Movie trailer: click here Jeanne Pigeon

Animation facts • The look of the film was inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper. • The film makers use non-photo realistic rendering. • Bolt is an American white Shepherd with long ears, caricatured in the movie with very long ears to emphasize the expressiveness of the dog. • Rhino was designed from a real chinchilla pet. • Rhino, the hamster, was originally supposed to be a rat.
