  2. Date Change • Due to UNC Charlotte’s budding football program and other athletic programs the date for SAACURH 2014 has changed to October 3-5, 2014

  3. Registration Timeline • Registration: June 9 - August 27, 2014 • Late Registration: August 27 - September 10, 2014 • Alternate Notification: August 15, 2014 • Training Session Registration: June 9 - September 10, 2014 • Training Session Selection Notification: September 17, 2014 (by 5:00pm)

  4. Delegate Limit • Non-bidding Schools will be allotted a maximum of 12 tributes and 2 mentors • Bidding Schools will be allotted a maximum of 16 tributes and 2 mentors.

  5. Conference Cost • Tribute: $172.72 • Mentor: $224.63

  6. Training Sessions • 4 Tracks: • Courage • Revolution • Strength • Relationships

  7. Philanthropy Projects Two Projects: • Food Banks: We are asking that schools collect can food items and donate them to local food banks. All you need to bring to conference is a receipt listing how much you donated

  8. Philanthropy Projects • We’ve chosen to partner with The Girl Effect as the official philanthropy for SAACURH 2014. • We will be collecting money at the conference for this philanthropy project. We will also be selling ration bags outside of programs and boardroom

  9. Spirit • Sponsors love Tributes who are highly spirited and Tributes who meet this qualification will be thusly rewarded in The Leadership Games! • There are numerous ways that you can show your spirit at SAACURH 2014: • Creating a District Replica • Creating a MockingJay • Participating in your District's Interview • Participating in Pre-Conference Spirit Challenges

  10. Spirit • District Replica: • Each District in The Hunger Games has a different resource or job that they represent. Each of the universities attending SAACURH 2014 will be asked to create a Replica of their District showcasing what their district, or state, is know for. This can be a particular job or resource that they represent. We also ask that you include some of your own school pride.

  11. Entertainment • Friday: • Tribute Training: • Inflatables • Outdoor screening of the Hunger Games and the Hunger Games: Catching Fire • Saturday: • Spirit Challenge • Victor’s Ball • Much, MUCH MORE!
