  3. Activity Goals:support of initiatives on overcoming problems of social vulnerability

  4. Main directions of the activities • Social partnership on increasing activeness of women • Prevention from HIV/AIDS, STD spread • Decreasing of drug addiction harm

  5. Support and partnership International: • NOVIB Fund (Netherlands) • Institute of Open Society Soros Foundation (Program on decreasingIHRDand on gender) • CEO • USAID • Contact net(Switzerland)

  6. Support and partnership National: • Ministry of education and its departments • Ministry of labor and social welfare • District committees of Tashkent • Committees of women • “Kamolot” movements, AIDS centers

  7. Activities used in projects on prevention and reduction of HIV/AIDS harm: • Education programs (lectures, training and workshops: • Development of volunteer activities among the focus group • Harm reduction: -outreach activities, information dissemination, syringe and condom distribution; -education training for CSWs -Consultations of the specialists (doctors, lawyers, psychologists) -behavior survey

  8. Observation of the “NGO” situation (50 NGOs involved) • 2 subgroups established: -experienced in prevention work and harm reduction area (26) • Group interested in problems connected with HIV/AIDS prevention
