  5. Quality #3 • “…responsible for his own suffering.” (page 72) • Meaning: • Bringing pain to himself

  6. Quality #4 • Characteristics: • revengeful • Self-indulgence that displays itself in style and action • Protagonist portrays the traits people are ashamed to show

  7. Seneca says… • The real tragedy is the recognition not the murders • Example: • Hercules, Roman God • Recognized guilt
