  2. Milky Way • The Milky Way goes around and around like the sun. It got it’s name because it looks like a creamy band of stars from Earth. Corinthian

  3. JA’NIJAH STAR • A star is a ball of hot gases out in space. It gives off light. From the Earth the stars seem to make patterns and twinkle in the night. Our sun is a yellow star. There is also a blue star, and a red star.

  4. Karen Garcia North Star • The North Star is also called Polaris. It is the last star in the handle of the Little Dipper.

  5. Constellation • Constellations are groups of stars thatmake pictures in the night sky. • Constellations can help people find stars. Britney

  6. The Little Dipper The Little Dipper is next to the Big Dipper. The Little Dipper looks like the Big Dipper upside down . The North Star is the first star in the Little Dipper’s handle. Breanna

  8. Sun • The sun is the brightest object in the day sky. It is the closest star to Earth. The sun is shaped like a ball. She’Merria

  9. MERCURY • MERCURY IS THE CLOSEST PLANET TO THE SUN. IT TRAVELS AROUND THE SUN 6 TIMES A YEAR. Marquavious

  10. Venus is the second planet from the sun. It can burn your skin with sulfuric acid. The planet is very poisonous. Cameron

  11. Earth • Earth is the third planet from the sun. It is the only planet that has living things. It takes the Earth a year to travel around the sun. Ashley

  12. Destiny • Mars is red. The atmosphere of Mars is 100 times thinner than Earth’s.

  13. Alexis Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. 1,300 earths could fit inside Jupiter. A storm that is twice as wide as earth is the Great Red Spot. Jupiter

  14. Saturn • Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun. It has many giant rings around it made of ice and rock. Kalil

  15. Luis Uranus gives off greenish light. It takes 84 years for Uranus to move around the sun.

  16. Neptune • Neptune is cold and beautiful. Neptune is the twin of Uranus. Neptune has three rings around it. Neptune also has two moons, Triton and Nereid. Cayson Adkinson

  17. Pluto(Dwarf Planet) Yansy • Plutois farther than any planet from the sun. It is smaller than any planet in our solar system. It is colder than any planet and it is made of ice and rock. Pluto is not a planet.
