Green Cleaning Efforts in Your Everyday Life

1. Cleaning Green The typical American uses hundreds of synthesized chemicals and harmful agents in their cleaning supplies. If you wish to make an effort to reduce your own environmental impact, consider how you clean. 2. In the modern world, we want the tedious chore of cleaning to be fast, easy and effective. To do so, we spend money on cleaning supplies and appliances that promise to do just that. 3. Part of the problem with not cleaning “green” is largely cultural, or, the way we view cleaning. Until recently, there has been no effort to include the “greenness” of these cleaning supplies, which accounts for a heavy dirge in environmental concern and awareness in the consumer of cleaning products. 4. For example, instead of using a chemical-based solution to clean up a stain, why not use lemon-juice?

  3. Part of the problem with not cleaning “green” is largely cultural, or, the way we view cleaning. Until recently, there has been no effort to include the “greenness” of these cleaning supplies, which accounts for a heavy dirge in environmental concern and awareness in the consumer of cleaning products.

  4. As previously mentioned, there are many alternatives to the regular cleaning chemicals that some people use every-day. For example, instead of using a chemical-based solution to clean up a stain, why not use lemon-juice?
