The Basics Operations of Excel After you’ve opened Excel, you’ll find at the left-hand bottom corner, three sheets titled, Sheet 1, Sheet 2, and Sheet 3. Right click or double click on a sheet and you can change the name of that particular sheet. Since their are multiple sheets, you’ll have to rename them all so you can distinguish between them. To use the cells in the spreadsheet, you simply click on the cell and enter the data. To move onto the next cell, you’ll have to press the enter key or use the mouse to move to the cell you want. If you want to move to the row above the current row, you hold down the shift key and press the enter key. All these functions can be used through the Up, Down, Left, and Right keys!
