  1. The Three Little Pigs Retold by: Christina Meyers (Me)

  2. Once upon a time there lived three little pigs. One day, their mother told them,“ You children have become to old and big to live here any longer. You must go your separate ways and build your own homes. But make sure that the wolf doesn’t catch you.” 6th hour

  3. “We’re not going to let a wolf scare us!” cried the first pig. “Yah! We’ll show him!” So as you can see, the young pigs had no fear as they set off into the world. 6th hour

  4. As the three pigs walked along a dirt road, they came across a man carrying straw. 6th hour

  5. The first little pig stopped and asked the man, “Wait, kind sir! I was wondering if you’d be so generous as to give me some straw to build my house.” “Well of course, young pig. I would be happy to give you some straw.” 6th hour

  6. And so the first little pig built his house out of straw. “Now the wolf won’t be able to eat me.” he boasted. “Ah, true, but I shall build an even stronger house than yours!” the second pig challenged. “And mine will be bigger than both of yours!” cried the third. 6th hour

  7. The second little pig and the third little pig continued their journey along the road. Soon, they met a man carrying sticks. “Excuse me sir, I was wondering if you’d find the kindness in your heart to give me some sticks to build myself a house?” “Yes, of course.” said the man and gave the second little pig some sticks. 6th hour

  8. So the second little pig built his house of sticks, It was much stronger than the house of straw. And the second pig was very pleased with his home. The little pig boasted, “Now the wolf won’t catch me and eat me!” “Maybe so, but I’m going to build an even stronger house than yours.” 6th hour

  9. The third little pig, lonely, yet not ready to give up, strolled along the road. Until he met a man carrying some bricks. “Please sir, will you give me some bricks? I want to build a house for myself.” “Course, ‘lil youngster.” he replied, and gave the third little pig some bricks. 6th hour

  10. The third little pig went quickly to work on his new house. Although it was tough work, the third pig’s house was very strong. “The wolf will never get to me here.” boasted the third little pig. 6th hour

  11. The next day, the wolf came by to the first little pig’s home. As soon as he saw the wolf he dashed inside. The wolf knocked on the door and said, “Little pig, little pig, let me in.” 6th hour

  12. “No,” said the little pig, “not by the hair by my chinny chin chin.” “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in.” cried the wolf. 6th hour

  13. So he did. He huffed and he puffed and then ate the first little pig. 6th hour

  14. The next day, the wolf came walking farther down the road, when he came across the second little pigs house of sticks. 6th hour

  15. When the second little pig saw the wolf, he ran inside. The wolf said, “Little pig, little pig, let me come in.” 6th hour

  16. “No!” he shrieked, “not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!” “Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!” 6th hour

  17. And so the wolf did and the little house of sticks came tumbling down. The wolf gobbled up the second little pig. 6th hour

  18. The next day, the wolf came farther down the road to the little house of bricks. When the third pig saw him coming, he ran inside and shut the door. 6th hour

  19. The wolf knocked on the door and said, “little pig, little pig, let me come in.” “No,” said the little pig, “not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!” 6th hour

  20. “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” So he huffed and he puffed, but the little house of bricks would not fall down. 6th hour

  21. The wolf was very angry but he pretended not to be. He decided to trick the little pig and to become his friend. So the wolf said, "Little pig, if you will be ready at six o'clock in the morning, I will take you to Farmer Smith's field. We shall find some nice turnips for dinner." 6th hour

  22. “Very well,” said the third little pig. But he was very clever, he knew the wolf just wanted to eat him. So the next day he went to farmer Smith’s field and gathered up all the turnips at 5:00 in the morning and ran back home at 6:00. 6th hour

  23. At six in the morning the wolf came knocking on the little pig’s door. “Are you ready little pig?” he asked. “Oh, I have already been to Farmer Smith’s field and I am now boiling the turnips for supper. The wolf was very angry but he pretended not to be. 6th hour

  24. So the wolf said, “If you are ready at 5:00 tomorrow morning we shall go to Farmer Brown’s apple tree and we’ll pick some red apples.” “Very well,” said the pig. 6th hour

  25. So the next morning, the little pig set off at 4:00. He was up in the tree picking apples when the wolf came along. 6th hour

  26. The little pig was very frightened, but he didn’t show it. “These apples are very good, here I’ll throw you one.” he said, as he tossed the apple. 6th hour

  27. The apple rolled down the little dirt road, and the wolf went chasing after it. Then, the little pig quickly jumped out of the tree and ran home as quickly as he could. When he got home, he shut and locked his door behind him. 6th hour

  28. The wolf was very angry but he pretended not to be. He told the pig, “tomorrow, if you will be ready at four o clock this afternoon, I will take you to the fair and we’ll have some fun.” “Very well,” agreed the pig. 6th hour

  29. At 2:00, the little pig left for the fair and had tons of fun. He bought himself a butter churn, it looked like a big barrel. As he was coming home, the little pig saw the wolf coming. He was frightened so he jumped in side the butter churn. 6th hour

  30. The butter churn began to roll down the hill towards the wolf. It knocked him down and the wolf was so frightened that he ran all the way home. The little pig laughed and walked home. 6th hour

  31. The next day, the wolf came knocking on the little pig’s door. He said, “little pig, I was not able to go to the fair yesterday because this thing came rolling down the hill and knocked me over!” “Ha-Ha,” laughed the little pig, “that was me in my butter churn!” 6th hour

  32. When the wolf heard this, he was furious, he said, “Little pig, I am going to eat you up. I am going to climb down your chimney to get you." The little pig was very frightened, but he just set a pot to boil in the fire place. 6th hour

  33. The wolf climbed on top of the roof and started down the chimney. When the wolf came, the pig just took off the lid and the wolf fell in with a big splash, and that was the end of the wolf. The third little pig was much too clever for him. 6th hour
