Differences: One obvious differences between human eyes and a camera is that we have two lens (eyes) while the camera has only one. There is a logical reason to this and it is because humans have blind spots while camera’s do not. To find out the reason why we have a blind spot, we have to first be able to understand the structure and how the retina in the eye works. In the camera, the lens focus the light into a piece of film that has chemicals in them so that it would trap the light to create a image of the film. The aperture of the camera acts as a iris like in the eye, expanding and contracting according to the amount of light that it lets in. The rays of light move though the vitreous jelly specialized cell that soaks up light into the retina and turns its energy into electrical signals. These are rod cells and these collect dim light. Human eyes can make out thousands of colors but we have only three kinds of cone cells to make these distinguishes. The nerve cells mix the signals making the colors visible. Conclusions
FIND YOUR BLIND SPOT http://www.mi.sanu.ac.yu/vismath/fila/Fig05.jpg Close your left eye and focus on the cross. Move your head back and forward untill you can not see the circle. “The circle disappears because its images is projected exactly onto blind spot (area where optic nerve leaves the retina).” (Slobodan Markovich )
