  2. Friday X Block Bell Schedule: (rotating) • 9:00-10:00 A • 10:05-11:05 B • 11:05-11:55 Lunch • 12:00-1:00 C • 1:05-2:05 D • 2:10-3:20 X The staff were asked to vote on the options and the majority of respondents chose to have no AG.

X block Management • A chart of semester 2 will be posted in the staff room • Teachers sign up to activities showing where they will be, what they will be working on and with whom they will be working with – that way, everyone knows what everyone is doing and is welcome to join in. This will allow people to schedule ahead of time and plan their x-blocks in advance. • A binder will be kept with a nominal role of teachers for each X block. Teachers sign individually indicating where they will be and what they will be working on • Sign up will be completed by Wednesday of each week.

  4. What will it look like for the students… • Tutorial – Teachers will offer class specific tutorials as deemed necessary to support student learning. Teachers will advise students if it is mandatory or optional. The tutorials will not be in the announcements, it will be word of mouth/posted in the classroom. It is the students’ responsibility to attend each tutorial when their teacher has informed them of the need. • Home Work Club – This will be an added day of our existing homework club. Students must attend if they are referred by their teacher and it will run as it currently does on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (room 114). • Educational Support –This is optional and available to all students who want a quiet place to work with some support provided by EAs. The computer lab (room 214) will be open for students who need access to a computer, room 212 for math/science help, and room 213 for students working on humanities. Students will be required to sign in. • Open Library – The library will be open as an independent study location for all students. Supervision will be provided by Ms. Tingle and assigned EA’s. Students will be required to sign in. • School will be dismissed at 2:05pm and if the students are not participating in any of these 4 areas they are expected to head home and be OFF school grounds.
