From the Healthroom: • A good breakfast helps students do better in school. Research has shown that test scores improve with a healthy breakfast that includes protein. • We are doing a jammin minute each morning with the morning announcements. These are simple exercises designed to get the blood moving and the brain awake and ready to learn. • This year, students first through sixth grade need to have a varicella vaccine or documentation of having had chicken pox and the hepatitis B series. If your child doesn’t have these you will be notified by the nurse. Kindergarten and first will need two varicella vaccines plus the Hep B series. • Attendance: Make sure that you notify the office or the nurse each day your child will be absent or late . If we do not hear from you and cannot get in touch with you, that will be an unexcused absence. Remember that your child should be in the classroom, ready to go by 8:10. Please keep all of your contact information up to date by letting the office know of changes in phone numbers and contacts. • WEB BACK PACK: To find the web back pack go the SMSD site> parents> schools> Rising Star> Web back pack> Cynthia Connellan or http://www4.smsd.org/cynthiaconnellan/ • Forms/Guidelines for medication administration at school.
