  2. Doctoral education in RTU • 22 doctoral study programmes in engineering sciences, natural sciences, architecture and social sciences • 424 doctoral students • 346 state funded positions • Duration: 4 years • 288 ECTS, incl. scientific research 225 ECTS and 63 ECTS theoretical subjects

  3. RTUDoctoral School • Established in November 2009. • Targeted to: Doctoral degree candidates Scientific supervisors

  4. Objective • To increase efficiency of doctoral programmes in RTU. • To create stimulating research environment. • To foster collaboration in all levels and among them. 4

  5. Tasks • Advice and inform doctoral candidates of available support. • Organise events for doctoral candidates and scientific supervisors.
