Xbox Series X • Microsoft’s most powerful game console ever is positioned as it’s flagship console headed into the next generation. • It features a custom processor that uses AMD’s Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architecture with a total of 12 teraflops • It allows the machine to achieve up to 8K resolution and runs games up to 120 frames per second.
AMD’s Zen 2 • At the heart of the Xbox series X lies a custom-designed CPU founded on AMD’s Zen 2 architecture. • The Zen 2 family touts improved performance and efficiency, with Xbox series X poised to deliver four times the CPU power than the previous ones. • A Navi based GPU flanks the Zen 2 brains, which is powered by AMD’s latest wave of RDNA graphics technologies.
It assembles a formidable SoC for next-generation gaming, clocking in at 12 teraflops. • A custom form of variable rate shading will also be on board which enables developers to prioritize individual effects on specific on-screen elements .
This in effect makes higher-end resolution graphics more efficient and therefore could allow for greater frame rates. • It is also upgraded with added capabilities of hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
Storage • An internal SSD will be utilized for storage which speeds up data access dramatically. • The Xbox velocity architecture provides new speed and performance capabilities through the groundbreaking combination of hardware, a custom 1TB SSD & CPU and deep software integration makes it richer and more dynamic.
The Xbox series X storage expansion card provides additional game storage at peak sound and performance by replacing the console’s internal custom SSD experience.
Internal Components • The three airflow channels evenly distribute the temperatures generated by the advanced internal components and keeps the console cool and quiet. • This allows for stunning game experiences with incredible graphical fidelity and performance.
The novel split motherboard keeps the Xbox Series X internals evenly temperature-controlled and allows the game console to output more power. • The vapour chamber in Xbox Series X enables evenly spread temperatures with the core and memory.
Xbox wireless controller • A new Xbox wireless controller along with the Xbox series X has a new share button in the middle and a D-pad disk. • The Dynamic Latency input helps to optimize the latency, starting with the Xbox wireless controller will make sure that input is synchronized immediately with What’s displayed, making controls even more precise and responsive.
