  3. Goals • Make a post-mortem analysis of the full process • Identify technical problems that need to be addressed • Propose a solution • Suggest small changes for cost/time saving • Decide on the future strategy • Second prototype? • Final production?

  4. Budget • Materials is dominated by copper 6.7kCHF • NRE : Drawings plus engineering support • Possible to make for 50-60k?

  5. Schedule More than a year work Some delays could have been avoided Possible to make a second one in 6 months?

  7. Flanges • Coating of flanges • CERN coating does not fulfil specifications • External work required. Two months delay • Wrong flanges used • Need to modify a ”Germana” type flange

  8. Brazing the cooling jacket Largest technical issue Consequences on brazing time, and water circuit leak More to come…

  9. Assembly • Missing small components: • Screws, goupilles, etc. • Not critical. Not mayor delay • Can be easily solved • Non obvious assembly • More from Raphael, Jan • Support • Wrong direction. Easily solvable
