  18. “JÖTUNN” AND THE DOSECC CORING PACKAGE DOSECC fits into the Lee C. Moore mast. DOSECC is hydraulically driven and uses modular components for its feed cylinder, rotating head, power pack, wireline winch and mud. The rotary rig is used in its standard configuration to open the hole, set casing, trip drill rods and perform cementing operations.  During these operations, DOSECC is set back in the derrick, out of the way of other activities. DOSECCis packed into three 20 foot and one 40 foot shipping containers. IDDP - MARCH 2002

  19. CONCLUDING REMARKS “Jötunn” is suitable for drilling the conventional part of IDDP well to 3400 m. Below 3400 m the possibility of using “Jötunn” is subject to chosen drilling method and the possibility of using light weight drillstring for conventional drilling. For drilling the IDDP well “Jötunn” must be upgraded with a top drive, improved mudsystem and a third mudpump of similar size or even larger than the the Gardner Denver PZ-8. For safety purposes, it would be preferable to increase equipment on rig floor, like iron roughneck etc. IDDP - MARCH 2002
