ORKUSTOFNUNGeoScienceDivision 13.10.2002 Reservoir Parameter Study for the IDDP Ómar Sigurðsson Orkustofnun
ORKUSTOFNUNGeoScienceDivision 13.10.2002 Introduction • Project to study the petrophysical properties of host rocks for geothermal systems started 9 year ago at Orkustofnun • Mostly eroded geothermal systems have been sampled for representative rock specimens • The rock database currently has over 500 samples that have been studied for basic reservoir parameters • Thin sections made of nearly all samples and chemical analysis on more than 200 samples
