The Ke4 split • Thanks to Brigitte I got a list of the SS0 split of the Ke4 analysis. It includes following cuts: • Only good bursts for PHYS, DCH, MBX, LKR, HODC • At least one 3-track vertex satisfying the criteria below • At least 1 cluster • Vertex requirement: • Zvertex between -2000. and +8000. cm • Distance between vertex tracks at DCH1 >1 cm • At least one electron ( P>1.5 GeV/c and E/p >0.8) • Loose cut against K3pi events (in the (m3pi, pt) plane the elliptic cut • is defined as (± 6 MeV/c2 away from nominal kaon mass and Pt >10 MeV/c) • ( (M3pi-mK)/0.006 )^2 + ( Pt(3 charged tracks)/0.010 )^2 > 1 • M3pi is obtained as the invariant mass of the 3 charged tracks giving a pion mass to each
SS0 filters comparison Run on all the data of my private SS0 filter and on the Ke4 filter: The results are as follow: We should be careful because the BR will be affected by cuts
Run by run filters comparison Seems that the increase is not due to a different set of runs but is really and increase of data in each run!
Data MC comparison (tnx Milena) The MonteCarlo tree level seems to be very different from data distribution. The BG cannot be responsible for the this difference. The magnetic contribution is too small Mee distribution Data p±p0p0D
MC IB vs MC IB+DE (tnxto Milena) We do not see important difference in the 2 Motecarlo at least at this statistical level.
Conclusion • We can use the Ke4 split to speed up analysis • We should understand why we do have differences • Find the exact set of cut which was applied to the 2 samples • The PICHL based MC shows poor agreement with data sample • The disagreement cannot be originated by BG • The disagreement is not due to the presence of a magnetic term
