  1. Warm-up #6 • How does the Electoral College work? • What is the main job of the Supreme Court?

  2. Judicial Branch • The Supreme Court is the highest court in the nation and has final authority on all Constitutional issues. • It’s main job is to interoperate the Constitution. If a law violates the Consultation it is declared “unconstitutional” and is void. This power is called “Judicial Review.” This power is determined in the famous court case Mulberry v. Madison. • There were originally six supreme court justices. Today there are nine. • Judges are appointed for life (with good behavior) by the president and approved by congress. • a majority is needed to pass a decision. • Head judge is called the Chief Justice.
