  1. 13th Dec 2009 The Hyatt Regency

  2. EVENT FLOW The Grand D.M.E.T- M.E.R.I. event begins sharp at 7:00 pm

  3. 7:00 p.m.Emcee Mir and Emcee Arnabi come on to stage and introduce the evening to the guests.Talks about D.M.E.T- M.E.R.I, and other necessary matter as given by the committee and members.

  4. 7:10 p.m. Introductory dance seq-1 Dance sequence choreographed by Padatik

  5. 7:20p.m. Emcee Mir on stage, cracks a couple of jokes to liven up the gathering and introduces the star performer of the evening ‘Ms. Shreya Ghoshal’

  6. 7:30 p.m. The stage backdrop slides open with lot of moving head lights and few confeeti blasts Shreya walks on the stage as the backdrop slides open.

  7. 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Shreya and band performs for 45 mins along with the dance troupe performing on some songs

  8. 8:15 p.m. Emcee Mir and Arnabi back on stage, interacts with the gathering, walks down to talk the guests and takes an event feedback. Mir cracks a couple of more jokes to entertain the gathering

  9. 8:30 p.m. Dance troupe Padatik performs on a solo fast song to get up the tempo of the evening.

  10. 8:40 p.m. to 8:45 p.m Green Sea Laser show Emcee Mir from backstage narrates the Green Sea Laser show. Shreya walks in again at the finishing stage of the Laser show

  11. 8:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Shreya and band perform for 45 mins, sings her fast foot tapping songs and ends her performance with her Mega Hit- ‘ Dola Re Dola’ with the dance troupe performing with her.

  12. 9:30 p.m. Emcee Mir and Arnabi on stage , opens the dance floor for the gathering and introduces the D.j. of the event- ‘D.J. Dee’ They also announce that the Bar and the dinner are served for a gathering of 600 heads

  14. 9:30 p.m to 11:30 p.m. D.j. Dee gets the gathering to the dance floor and keeps them entertained by playing his best nos. The second part of the laser show for a 5 min. duration would be clubbed with a special song from the D.j.

  15. The Bar, which would be served at the portico area of the banquet would be opened at 8:45 p.m. The official announcement can only be done after the performance of Shreya Ghoshal , that is at 9:30 p.m. The reason being that Shreya Ghoshal’s contract states that alcohol shall not be servred until she completes her performance in the event.

  16. 11:30 p.m. Event for the evening ends and guests are taken back to their respective hotels.

  17. 14th Dec. 2009 D.M.E.T. College- Taratola

  18. 10:00 a.m. Every participating member of the event meet at the college play ground. We have a unique cricket match for the seniors called – Race to 60- Rules of the game shall be decided with consultation with the celebration committee. A shoot at the goal football, a strength test- tug-a-war and various types of races.

  19. While the seniors and busy playing cricket, the ladies are at the Ladies corner which houses a female emcee who plays a lot of games with them. We would have a Mehandi man, Beautician in the corner and also a talent hunt among the ladies, the winner of the same would be crowned the ‘ Lady of the Event’

  20. The children have their own fun area in the Kids Corner which will house a emcee who would also play games with them. The Kids corner will also have a magician, jugglers, comic charcters like disney,laural and hardy, mickey etc.

  21. All the fun events in the morning will have lot of gifts and prizes to be won

  22. 1:00 p.m. We proceed for a pure Bengali lunch catered by one of he most popular authentic bengali food caterer – Bhojohari Manna

  24. Post lunch we take the guests back to their hotels for a siesta

  25. 5:30 p.m. All guests, members , staff and cadets assemble at the College Auditorium for the Felicitation ceremony.

  26. 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Felicitation Ceremony , arrival of the Chief Guest and Dignitary messages. 20 min. Tabla and Sitar recital by famous Percussionist – Tanmoy Bose

  27. High Tea Cookie Jar special High Tea for 200 Heads Chicken and Veg sandwiches- 1 pcs Chocolate cakes- 2 pcs Chicken and veg pattis- 1pcs Chocolate eclaires-1 pcs Mixed fruit sundee- 1cup

  29. Post event guests dropped back to their hotels

  30. 7:00 p.m. Entertainment Event for the Staff and Cadets begins

  31. 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Event has famous Tollywood singer- Jiten Kalwani and his band Emcee Arunima Dance troupe Street Guys D.j.- Dee

  32. 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Dinner by renowned caterer – Kaub Khan for 700 heads.

  44. Permissions PPL – IPRS - Amusement No police and traffic permissions required for event in private venues

  45. 20 security guards for the to day event to maintain discipline in the event. Event to be covered by Media. A pre-release arranged by Event Manager 10 days before the event.
