Another famous mountain lies in the south of Makkah and is known as Thour Mountain. • It contains the famous Thourcave • This cave is famously known as the symbol of faith and hope.
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) stayed with his fellow companion Hazrat Abu Bakar and stayed hidden from the people of Kuraish tribe for about three days. • During their stay, a tree grew right in front of this cave and a dove made a nest on it where that dove laid eggs. • Then later, a spider spread its web over the cave’s opening to protect Prophet Muhamad (PBUH) from his enemies.
Yet another famous place in Makkah is Jabal-al-noor also known as the Mountain of Light. • It is situated near Makkah and is one of the most popular tourist attraction. • One can see the buildings under hundreds of meters from the Jabal-al-noor.
The famous Ghar e Hira (Hira Cave) is placed in the mountain Jabl-e-Noor. • Jabal-al-Noor is a rocky mountain and it takes about 2 hours of climbing to reach to the Ghar e Hira.
