  4. JUSTICE n. • 1. The quality of being just; fairness. • 2. a. The principle of moral rightness; equity. • b. Conformity to moral rightness in action or attitude; righteousness.

  5. JUSTICE n. • 3. a. The upholding of what is just, especially fair treatment and due reward in accordance with honor, standards, or law. • b. Law The administration and procedure of law. • 4. Conformity to truth, fact, or sound reason: The overcharged customer was angry, and with justice.

  6. Activists serve a God of justice. • His justice is sung and praised in the psalms. -- Psalms 11:7, Psalms 33:5, Psalms 140:12

Psalms 11:7 -- For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face. • Psalms 33:5 -- The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. • Psalms 140:12 -- I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.

  8. Activists serve a God of justice. • His justice is sung and praised in the psalms. -- Psalms 11:7, Psalms 33:5, Psalms 140:12 • Those who truly know him understand his Justice -- Jeremiah 9:24

  9. Jeremiah 9:24 -- but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

  10. Activists serve a God of justice. • JUSTICE -- The order God seeks to reestablish in His creation where all people receive the benefits of life with Him. • Psalms 89:14, Psalms 97:2

  11. Psalms 89:14 • 14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. • Psalms 97:2 • 2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

  12. Activists serve a God of justice. • C. JUSTICE is the central ethical idea of the Old Testament • Deuteronomy 16:20, Deuteronomy 27:19, Psalms 106:3, Proverbs 28:5, Proverbs 29:7, Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 28:17, Zechariah 7:9

Deuteronomy 16:20 -- Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you. • Deuteronomy 27:19 -- "Cursed is the man who withholds justice from the alien, the fatherless or the widow." • Then all the people shall say, "Amen!" • Psalms 106:3 -- Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.

  16. Activists serve a God of justice. • D. JUSTICE remains an expected standard in the New Testament • James 1:27 -- Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
