  2. TECHNOBRIDGE SERVICE LLC Biological wastewater treatment stations BiOKS Process chart description of BiOKS stations with capacity 6 to 600 cmpd Stations comprise trains of biological treatment, advanced treatment and decontamination. An every train is capableto operate at 40 to 110 per cent of production rate vs. rated capacity. Stations’ operation is based on a full biological treatment technology employing advanced treatment methods including nitri-/denitrification and dephosphorization processes allowing treated water discharge into fishery bodies of water. Wastewater treatment process: • Wastewater supplied for treatment is directed to mechanized screen to remove coarsely dispersed solids. • Strained wastewater enters a membrane grit removal nodes where in conical bins sand and other mineral particle settle, and are discharged into sludge tank thereafter. • Wastewater cleaned of solids and impurities is supplied in a balance tank where wastes are balanced per composition and evenly pass onto the following treatment stage. • From the balance tank wastewater is pumped proportionally to the first biological treatment stage, i.e. Denitrifier, where sludge recycling from the secondary settling tanks is directed as well.In Denitrifier nitrites and nitrates recover to free gas venting into atmosphere. Denitrifying sludge is in suspended state and is partially held on KARKAS loading node assembled in cartridges. • On the second biological treatment stage, i.e. in Air Tank, the main contaminants removal takes place, using activated sludge represented by biocoenosis of organisms developed in aerobic conditions on the organic contaminants contained in wastewater. From the Air Tank wastewater is supplied to Nitrifier through the semi-submersed barrier. • In the course of nitrification ammonia is oxidized to nitrites and nitrates that recycle into Denitrifier together with sludge from the secondary tank to recover nitrogen and vent into air.To intensify the process, cartridges KONTUR with biological content are installed in Nitrifiers. In order to remove excessive phosphorus to meet the norms of a fishery bodies of water, a reagent solution is pumped into Nitrifier automatically, using dosing unit.

  6. TECHNOBRIDGE SERVICE LLC Biological wastewater treatment stations BiOKS Mechanical wastewater treatment Mechanical screen used at BiOKS stations holds and removes from wastewater contaminants exceeding gaps of the filtering element (above 5 mm). These contaminants are removed from time to time from the rake by means of remover, and via shute falls on conveyor or in waste bin. Intervals in between activation depends on applied automation mode of the screen. Two tangential grit removal plants of BiOKS stations are designed for preliminary gravity recovery of insoluble mineral solids from wastewater (sand, refuse burnout, broken glass). These plants have a round shape and tangential approach of wastewater, ensuring screw-wise fluid moving to the plants’ walls. Grit removal plants trap in a conical bin solids of 0.15 to 0.25 mm in size, and bigger.

Application of KARKAS biological medium: Allows for increase in facility capacity by 25… 35% over better conditions for oxygen approach to biological film and removing metabolism products; Bigger porosity combined with high adhesion surface; Corrosion resistance; Enhanced rigidity; Easy to install. KARKAS KONTUR Application of KONTUR will enable: • Increase in treatment efficiency in terms of BOD, ammonium nitrogen and suspended solids; • Improve treatment substantially in terms of organics resistant to oxidation (synthetic surfactants, oil products, etc.).

  8. TECHNOBRIDGE SERVICE LLC Biological wastewater treatment stations BiOKS Treated wastewater decontamination • Advantages of UV decontamination applied on BiOKS stations • Differentiation of UV water treatment applied in our process is in use of both shortwave and vacuum black light enabling practically full decontamination (up to99.9999 %) and termination of bacteria and viruses in quantitiesunachievable for conventional methods applying longer waves of a black light spectrum and oxidation by ozone, with energy consumption of 3-4 times higher comparing to above mentioned technology. • In the course of simultaneous UV radiation, Ultra Sonic and acoustic waves impact on water medium strong oxidizers originate separated evenly by the treatable volume, which allows for improvement of treatment efficiency of biocide unit up to 103times and fully exterminate (full photochemical oxidation) any form (including sporous) of microorganisms, viruses and animalcular in concentrations up to 106u/L. • Energy consumption for decontamination are below 0.02 kWh/m3. • Run-life of SWAROG UV lamps exceeds16,000 hours. Standard run-life of amalgam UV lamp is within 10,000-12,000 hours. • Applied UV lamps does not contain free Mercury. They employ hard amalgam instead, i.e. alloy of other metals with Mercury. Such a solution allows for substantial decrease in environmental hazards of these lamps. First of all, amount of Mercury is decreased in lamp, second, Mercury is in tied state and pressure of its hazard vapors under ambient temperature is enormously less than of metal Mercury. If amalgam UV lamps are occasionally broken so there is no need for demercurization activities – it is enough to contain amalgam and send it for disposal as a normal fluorescent lamp.

  10. TECHNOBRIDGE SERVICE LLC Biological wastewater treatment stations BiOKS Solid domestic wastes and sediments storage and disposal Temporary storage of bags with solid domestic waste is implemented using up-to-date garbage containers МКЦ-1100 (MKTs-1100) within the treatment facility sites. Capacity of one container is 1.1 cu. m, maximum load is 510 Kg. Container is arranged with wheels allowing for easy transportation to the bags unloading site and further returning to the specialized pad. It is worth to mention the following undeniable advantages of this method: • Ecological purity. Application of garbage container is a perfect way to control unorganized garbage landfills origination. Insulated tank with a lid prevents area foulness. • Efficiency of loading and transportation. Having a fleet of specialized trucks a transport company employees will spend a couple of minutes to reload and remove waste. Garbage removal process can be performed on a ring-down basis or per special schedule using container of required capacity. • Flexibility and convenience. Tanks used match perfectly to waste of a different sort and categories, construction (small and large), industrial and domestic.
