Printing In Campus Libraries • Networked Printers • Jobs can be sent from any library and printed at any library • Colour does matter • Black and white jobs are automatically sent to all black and white printers in all libraries • Colour jobs are sent to the Data/GIS lab on the first floor of Mills Library

Debit Card and PHAROS Client • Debit Cards • Same as the library photocopy cards • Purchased from vending machines available in all campus libraries • $2 for an empty reusable card • Machine does not accept change less than a dollar • PHAROS • Users can print from any library computer to any library printer • Select “Print” • Enter a Username and Password • Go to Print Station • Insert Card and Click Screen • Find Job in Queue and click “Print” • Enter chosen password

Printing From Personal Laptop • PHAROS Client • PC laptop users can print from their personal laptop • Download the Pharos Client from the FAQs page and install • Troubleshoot the install script if necessary • This will install: • Black and white printer drivers • Colour printer drivers • PHAROS client • Printing • Select “Print” in various application • Choose Printer • Library_BW for Black and White • Library_Colour for Colour • Fill in the Logon ID and Password prompts

Printing Problems • Printer Problems • Follow the PUBLIC PRINTING PROCEDURES as outlined on the library staff IT HELP DESK page • Paper Jams, Out of Paper, Out of Toner, Card Jammed • Call GEOFF WOODS • Print Station saying “RECONNECTING” or Public computers “unable to connect to printer” • Call LIBRARY IT • They will reset the print server

Printing Problems cont’d • “This is not my document” • Printer set to “Print to file” • Print color as black • Margins in MS Word • Close Word and Logoff • Reopen Word • Password Incorrect • Check Caps lock on print station • Can’t find job in queue • Check default printer of computer where job was printed
