Presently, he holds the position of Mathematics Associate Professor at Jefferson Community and Technical College, Louisville. Mathematics professors usually handle a wide array of mathematics areas as well as diverse needs of students at colleges and universities. Mostly they are responsible for teaching statistics, algebra, mathematical theory, calculus and various other areas. They may also be required to perform some additional duties such as advising undergraduate students, establishing research projects to internships and supporting the university or college mathematics program.
Attended Texas Woman’s University Awad Rasras completed his MA in Mathematics in 1983 from Texas Woman’s University. It is a public university that maintains excellent reputation as the country’s largest university mainly for women and is known for its quality educational programs. It prepares both men and women for leadership through quality graduate, undergraduate and professional programs at a distance and on campus. It provides a liberal-arts based curriculum that has been specifically developed to help students gain success in the global society. Obtained MA in Education from the University of Kansas Prior to attending Texas Woman’s University, Awad Rasrasstudied in Birzeit University, Palestine and graduated in 1978 with B.S. degree in Mathematics. In 1985, he completed his MA in Education from the University of Kansas. Aside from being a dedicated Mathematics Associate Professor, Awad Rasrasis also the honorary member of two reputable organizations: Mathematical Association of America and Kentucky Association of Two Year Colleges.
Hobbies In his free time,Awad Rasrasinvolves himself in a variety of extracurricular activities. He is a traveling enthusiast, with a passion for exploring and discovering new places and sceneries. His other hobbies are cycling, walking and reading. He lives a healthy lifestyle and goes running to remain fit and healthy.
