reg.event.package extension for GRUU

This draft proposes an extension element for application/reginfo+xml that provides a watcher with a Globally Routable User Agent URI (GRUU) for each Contact. It addresses some application issues when GRUU is used and clarifies behavior for subscribers and notifiers.

  2. Reasons for This Draft • Some applications of the reg event package break when GRUU is used, because the returned Contact is not addressable. E.g. • Example 3 of RFC 3680 – Welcome Notices • Endpoints subscribe to reg event of own AoR, use results to subscribe to dialog events of peers. draft-kyzivat-sipping-gruu-reg-event-01
