The Adani Group Plans To Make Significant Investment in Madhya Pradesh
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Mohan Yadav, has recently mentioned that tanks for the Indian Army will be produced soon in Jabalpur. He also mentioned that the Adani Group has currently made a promise to invest INR 4,500 crore in the state’s power and coal sector. The Adani Group has always been deeply interested in investing in diverse business sectors. Recently, it has also turned its attention to Madhya Pradesh. With its investment in the Indian state, Madhya Pradesh will experience extraordinary growth and prosperity. Industrial activities will also trigger in the state. The “Invest Madhya Pradesh” Conclave: • The Chief Minister of MP has recently addressed a press conference in Jabalpur where the state government organised a regional industrial conclave known as “Invest Madhya Pradesh.” Jabalpur has been producing different types of arms and ammunition for the Indian Army for quite a while now. It will also begin the production of tanks soon enough. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has also been signed for that. The Adani Group has also committed to investing INR 4,500 crore in the coal and power sectors.
The state received investment proposals worth INR 17,000 crore at the meeting. The state government has plans to allocate 340 acres of land to set up around 265 industrial units in different sectors. With these investments, 13,000 job opportunities will be created in different sectors. There will also be the establishment of diverse industrial units. Multiple foreign investors from the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Taiwan, Fiji, Indonesia, and Costa Rica also participated in the conclave and made promises for investments. A textile and garment skill development centre will also be set up in Jabalpur and Ujjain.
There are plans to build an IT park in Jabalpur as well. This will once again lead to increased job opportunities. An industrial hub will also be created, which will pave the path for digitalization. According to the MP CM, a summit on the defence sector will also be organised soon. Both the government as well as the private parties will be invited to the summit. This is being done to further boost the defence sector and increase the production of arms and ammunition in the state.
