  3. Motherhood is not Inherited • It must be learned, Titus 2:4-5 -[“train,” “teach,” “admonish”] -“to moderate, control, curb, disciple; to hold one to his duty, to exhort earnestly” • Learn love • Learn unselfish service • Learn to meet responsibilities

  8. God’s Counsel to Mothers • No favoritism and comparisons, Gen. 25:27-28 • Set godly examples, Ezek. 16:44-45 (1 Pet. 3:1-2) • Be thankful, 1 Ths. 5:18 “O my Lord…teach us what we shall do for the child who will be born.”

  9. Mothers are a Gift from God! “A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish man despises his mother.” (Proverbs 15:20)
