  2. What is sexual harassment Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination and involves unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours or unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that offends, humiliates or intimidates. It has nothing to do with mutual attraction or friendship.

  3. Definitions “if the person makes an unwelcome sexual advance, or an unwelcome request for sexual favours . . .. or engages in other unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature in relation to the other person”…….. So according to this definition sexual harassment is that behaviour that is unwelcome by other person and that is against other`s wishes.

How it affects employees • feel stressed, anxious or depressed  • want to stay away from work (more than usual)  • feel unable to trust your employer or the people you work with  • lack confidence and self-esteem in yourself and your work  • have physical symptoms of stress such as headaches, backaches, sleep problems • have your life outside of work affected, e.g. study, relationships  • be less productive and unable to concentrate

  5. Rights of affected people The document sexual harassment in the workplace A code of practice for employers(2004)updates the 1996 code of practice. It is serious infringement of a person `s right to work with dignity and respect, it covers what is harassment and what are our rights if we are affected by this harassment.

  6. How to solve this problem This legislation covers all workplaces, so first of all managers should have a clear obligation ,everyone should knows and train the staff. So first of all we can make a complaint to supervisor/manger ,complaint to EEOC(equally employment opportunity commission ) & HREOC( Human rights and equal opportunity commissioner) .

  10. Rights of employees To lodge a complaint with anti discrimination commission in Queensland. A code of practice for employers?(2004)it notes that harassment ,types, where it happens. The code covers how of prevent it what are the rights, complaint procedures, record keeping, and guideline for business.

  11. If you witness any harassment Tell the harasser to stop Report all incidents to administrator Provide the names of all parties involved and any witness Help documents exactly ,what was said and done May be lodge a complaint……

  12. Remember ,not doing anything may make harassment worse !
