IndefiniteAdjectiveQuidam, Quaedam, Quoddam • Declined like relative pronoun, except where there is an m at the end of the relative pronoun + dam. It becomes an n (i.e., quorum becomes quorundam) • Scio quendamdiscipulum qui Latinamamat. I know a certain student who loves Latin.
Interrogative Pronoun • Quis, Quis, Quid (see chart p. 15) – plural form is just like qui, quae, quae on p. 4. Nota Bene: it uses a question mark for punctuation. • QuisamatLatinam? Who likes Latin?
Quam-Exclamatory • Just uses quam + noun and adjectives and Nota Bene: it uses an exclamation mark for punctuation! • Quam neglegentesancillaesunt! How negligent the slavewomen are!
Quod Causal • Uses the form quod to mean ‘because’ • Be careful to not get confused between quod causal and quod relative pronoun. • Puellaesuntdefessae quod currebant in agris. • The girls are tired because they ran in the fields.
