  1. EQ: How do writers use craft techniques with purpose? Objective: Do Now: Complete the Middle-What’s included graphic organizer Scholars will be able to produce coherent writing in which the development and organization is appropriate to audience, by using their mentor author’s craft techniques, as evidenced in written responses.

  2. Writers make decisions about: • Genre • Structure-narrative or non-narrative • Language System-punctuation, use of grammar, diction (word choice)…etc • Sound-how is this going to affect the ear of the reader?

  3. Evidence of voice/sound • Evidence of voice/sound in author’s writing-use of onomatopoeia so reader can hear sounds.
