There are two types of point of view. • First-person point of view • Third-person point of view
First-Person Point of View • The narrator is a character in the story. • The narrator uses the pronouns “I” and “me.” • The narrator describes his/her thoughts and feelings. • The narrator does not know the thoughts and feelings of other characters.
Third-Person Point of View • The narrator is NOT a character in the story. • There are two types. • Limited omniscient – the narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of only ONE character. • Omniscient – the narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of ALL the characters.
