Background • Began looking at contemporary artists from Africa and India during undergraduate degree at UEA. Carried out research in Kathmandu on printmaker RaginiUpadhyayand her work on the death of the monarchy, civil war and transitions in Nepal. • Worked for Dr Rycroft, building an archive of teaching resources for the teaching of South Asian art and cultural heritage at UEA. Visited Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Shantineketan, Bhopal. • Masters in museology at UEA & curatorial fellow at SCVA. Curator of ‘There is Here: Photographs by Avi Gupta’. Commissioned photographs of domestic interiors shot in Kolkata and Bengali Diaspora home in Washington DC area.
