  6. The Two Parts of DIVERSE • DIVERSE graphics interface for Performer™ (dgiPf) • 3D Virtual Environment (VE) • DIVERSE ToolKit (DTK) • access to local and networked devices and data

  7. dgiPf Provides: • Hardware abstractions • Stereo/mono displays • Head tracked / fly view • Reconfiguration without program modification

  8. DTK Provides: • Server: remote shared memory based hardware interface • Library: uniform interface to services • Client programs: manage server and utilities

  9. DEMO • Linux laptop • CAVE simulator
