International Co-operation in the ICT Programme • Opening of all ICT programme objectives to the participation of third country organisations from ICPC countries, incl. WB. • - Funding schemes: CP (STREP, IP), NoE, CSA (CA, SA) • SICA: Specific International Co-operation Actions • - Country-specific, scientific objective-specific projects • - Specific rules for participation: • For CP (STREP, IP), min. four independent legal entities: • 2 from different MS/AC, 2 from different ICPC • Horizontal International Co-operation Support Actions
International Co-operation Objectives • Jointly respond to major global technological challenges by developing interoperable solutions and standards • high income countries and/or emerging economies • Jointly develop ICT solutions to major global societal challenges • establish long-term partnership with low-income countries • address development issues through ICT • develop new markets for European industry • Improve scientific and technological cooperation for mutual benefit • establish strategic partnerships with emerging economies • promote cultural diversity and mutual understanding • Support to information society policy dialogues • contribute to increasing the participation of third country organisations • facilitate the widest diffusion and local exploitation of ICT research results
