  2. A Poison Tree

  3. 1st stanzas I was angry with my friend; I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe: I told it not, my wrath did grow. The lesson of this part is if you tell someone your problems they will go away, but if you don’t tell your problems they will just get bigger.

  4. 2nd stanzas And I waterd it in fears, Night & morning with my tears: And I sunned it with smiles, And with soft deceitful wiles. He is sad because he is angry and he acted like nothing happen.

  5. 3th stanzas And it grew both day and night. Till it bore an apple bright. And my foe beheld it shine, And he knew that it was mine. His anger kept growing and growing but his friend was still there.

  6. 4th stanzas Literal Thinking And into my garden stole, When the night had veild the pole; In the morning glad I see; My foe outstretched beneath the tree. After all have that at the end your friend will always be there for you.
