Textbook page 114 • Today, you are going to be able to define protozoa. • Identify where you can find protozoa. • Identify the characteristics of protozoa. • Name 3 types based on the way they move.
Definition: for your notes • Your textbook states that Protozoa are unicellular and a eukaryote meaning it has complex structures enclosed in a membrane. • Protozoa comes from the Greek ”proton” meaning “first” and “zoa” meaning “animals.”
Does anyone know of any other one cell living things? • What word in the definition means one cell? • What is a membrane like? What does it do? • Do you have any membranes? If so, what are they?

Each station has directions concerning what the purpose is for that station. • There is a timer that will be set for 15 minutes. You will rotate to another station at the sound of the timer. • You only need to choose 4 of the 5 stations.
